Cassina

Cassina, founded in 1927 in Meda, Italy, by brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina, is a global reference in high-end design furniture. In the 1950s, the company distinguished itself by collaborating with renowned architects and designers such as Gio Ponti, contributing to Italy’s post-war reconstruction with iconic creations.

In 1964, Cassina launched the 'I Maestri' collection, acquiring the rights to reproduce the works of modernist masters, including Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This initiative led to the re-edition of timeless pieces like the LC2 armchair and the LC4 chaise longue, cementing Cassina’s reputation as a publisher of iconic design.

Over the decades, Cassina has continued to innovate, collaborating with top contemporary designers. The brand has partnered with talents such as Philippe Starck, Patricia Urquiola, and Piero Lissoni, enriching its catalog with modern creations while respecting its heritage. In 2015, Patricia Urquiola was appointed Cassina’s artistic director, bringing a fresh and dynamic vision to the brand. Under her leadership, Cassina has explored new materials and technologies while emphasizing sustainability and high-quality craftsmanship.
