Driade, established in 1968 in Piacenza, Italy, by siblings Enrico and Antonia Astori, along with Adelaide Acerbi, has been a pioneer in the design furniture industry. From its inception, Driade positioned itself as an 'aesthetic laboratory,' focusing on the continuous pursuit of beauty in living spaces. The brand is renowned for its eclectic and innovative designs, blending art and functionality to create unique pieces that stand out in the world of interior design.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Driade collaborated with prominent designers such as Enzo Mari, whose minimalist Delfina chair won the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979, and Philippe Starck, who designed the iconic Costes chair in 1984. These partnerships solidified Driade's reputation for pushing the boundaries of conventional furniture design, introducing pieces that are both avant-garde and timeless.

In the subsequent decades, Driade continued to expand its portfolio by working with a diverse array of designers, including Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola, and Fabio Novembre.
