Vipp
Founded in 1939 in Denmark by Holger Nielsen, Vipp originated from a simple pedal bin designed for his wife's hair salon. This iconic bin, combining functionality, durability, and simple aesthetics, laid the foundation for Vipp's philosophy: to create practical, durable objects that stand the test of time.
For decades, the pedal bin was the brand’s flagship product. It was only in 1992, under the leadership of Holger's daughter, Jette Egelund, that Vipp began to diversify. With a modern vision, Jette expanded the product line to include bathroom and kitchen items, and later, furniture. This transition allowed Vipp to become a global reference for Scandinavian design.
The minimalist design, the use of high-quality materials such as stainless steel and leather, and a commitment to durability characterize every Vipp creation. In 2012, the launch of the Vipp Kitchen, a modular steel kitchen, marked a turning point for the brand, showcasing its ability to combine industrial functionality with refined design.
Today, Vipp remains true to its heritage while exploring new territories such as architecture with projects like the Vipp Shelter. Every Vipp product, whether it’s a bin, kitchen, or piece of furniture, is designed to last generations, with a design that transcends fashion and trends.
